Privacy Policy

CustodyGuard is built and owned by Tap One Marketing, which is registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) as a data controller.

What we collect

Account details (email address), the profile information you provide during onboarding (name, role, children's names and dates of birth, addresses, trusted contacts), and the records you create — log entries, third-party statements, audio statements, photographs and files, plus any GPS coordinates and resolved addresses captured when you submit a log.

Why we hold it

To provide the service: storing your evidence records in a tamper-proof form, producing export bundles, and delivering the sharing, alibi and panic witness features you choose to use. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.

Immutability

Records cannot be deleted once created — this is deliberate and is what makes entries suitable for evidential use. Amendments are appended to an audit trail rather than overwriting the original. If you close your account we will remove your account access; retained records are handled in line with your written instructions and our legal obligations.

Who can see it

Only you, unless you generate a share link or activate Panic Witness Mode. Share links are read-only, may be filtered by category, and can be given an expiry or revoked at any time. No court, authority or agency has backend access to your account.

Processors

We use third-party infrastructure providers for hosting, database and file storage, transcription and email delivery. They process data on our instructions under contract and do not use it for their own purposes.

Your rights

You can request a copy of your data, ask us to correct inaccurate account details, object to processing, or complain to the ICO. Contact Tap One Marketing to exercise any of these rights.
